Lay the yarn down on top of the hook shank and wrap it so the top is covered and nice and tight... this gives the chenille a nice body that will match with the thickness of the yarn. Make sure you put the yarn all the way up to the jig head or a lil short, which I messed up on.

Next tie the chenille in and wrap it all the way up the jig head...

Tie it off using a half hitch or your whip finish tool. Also cut the yarn so it hangs a 1/2 inch off the back of the hook bend and the finished product should look something like this...
