How-To Tie A Yarn Jig
by Greg G.

Tying a Yarn Jig is quite easy compared to tying any other jig... Sometime these are the only jigs that steelhead will hit only because they dont have that much action... But these jigs will hold scent alot better then any other jig in my opinion

For this jig you will need

You need to wrap the thread 1/2 way down the hook shank...

Lay the yarn down on top of the hook shank and wrap it so the top is covered and nice and tight... this gives the chenille a nice body that will match with the thickness of the yarn. Make sure you put the yarn all the way up to the jig head or a lil short, which I messed up on.

Next tie the chenille in and wrap it all the way up the jig head...

Tie it off using a half hitch or your whip finish tool. Also cut the yarn so it hangs a 1/2 inch off the back of the hook bend and the finished product should look something like this...
