Barrett Lake

Barrett Lake is located in El Dorado County. It is located in the Crystal Basin Recreation area off of Highway 50, just south of the world famous Rubicon Trail. The Barret Lake Jeep Trail begins at Wrights Lake. The Barrett Lake Jeep Trail is about six miles long and is only open for a few select weeks each year. The USFS limits access to the trail to prevent overuse and damage to the trail. Barrett Lake lies at the end of the Barrett Lake Jeep Trail. The lake is at 7500 feet elevation. Camping is allowed at the lake.
